IWCE Brings Students and Veterans to Event through Scholarships

International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) is collaborating with ETA International, Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE), and Radio Club of America (RCA) to bring students and veterans through scholarships to IWCE March 27-31 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) is collaborating with ETA International, Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE), and Radio Club of America (RCA) to bring students and veterans through scholarships to IWCE March 27-31 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. 

By offering industry education, a robust expo hall hosting new and innovative technologies, and access to thought leaders in the communications technology marketplace it is hoped the scholarship winners will gain the contacts and skills they need to advance their careers.

The scholarship award winners include:

  • Cody Kunze, FOI, of California, MO has been awarded the ETA Veteran Scholarship, which is intended for veterans interested in a career in the wireless communications field. Kunze was a Journeyman Munitions Expert with the U.S. Air Force and is currently an electrician and signal technician for the Missouri Department of Transportation.

  • Delphine Djomo, a student at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, TX, has been awarded the ETA Student Scholarship. This scholarship was established to recognize outstanding full-time students enrolled in electronics courses to encourage them to pursue careers in the wireless communications industry.

  • Dhantha Gunarathna, a senior at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, has been awarded the Association for Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCCE) Student Scholarship.

  • Anna Veal, a student at the STEM School and Academy in Highlands Ranch, CO, has been named the recipient of the Radio Club of America (RCA) Young Achievers Award. The award is presented to students in high school or younger who have demonstrated excellence and creativity in wireless communications.

The scholarship criteria and winners are selected by each of the associations. IWCE covers all travel expenses for scholarship winners and will provide a complimentary Premium Package conference pass, which includes access to IWCE’s five-day conference program.
