Emergency response officials in Bonneville County, ID, selected New World Systems to replace the county's outdated public safety software.

New World's software will empower the sheriff's office and its associated police and fire agencies with better GIS mapping and technology to comply with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) standards. Ultimately, this software will provide a safer environment for first responders and a more efficient emergency response for the community.

Bonneville County, which includes Ammon Fire, Idaho Falls Fire, Swan Valley Fire, Idaho Falls Police, Iona Police, and the Bonneville County Communications Center, licensed New World's AEGIS Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Law Enforcement Records Management, Fire Records Management, Corrections Management, Mobile Computing, and Field Reporting software solutions.

"Our old system is out of date and it is a struggle to keep it alive," 9-1-1 Director Greg Warner said. "New World earned our selection as it offers everything we need now and well into the future."

Warner said that key elements emergency officials were looking for in a new software provider included:

  • Robust CAD mapping and mobile capabilities from a single database

  • Interoperability with new-age solutions including NG9-1-1

  • Integrations with other public safety systems

Warner said that officials with Bonneville County were impressed with New World's technology, functionality, and business model.

"We were looking for a company that would be there for us over the long-term," Warner said. "We consider this to be a relationship that goes beyond the traditional vendor/client roles."
